The University of Essex in Colchester and Southend can host residential and non residential events.

Both are an hour from London, within easy reach of the beautiful Essex countryside, including 'Constable Country'. The Colchester campus is an ideal base for groups to explore the countryside made famous by landscape artists Constable and Gainsborough. The Colchester venues have capacity for 1000 delegates plus Wivenhoe House, re-opening in June 2012; the inspirational hotel will feature the best of the quintessential modern country house experience with an intriguing edge.
